Cumberland Students Recognized for WiiSTEM

At tchs studentshe October meeting of the School Board, Cumberland High School recognized three students from the Digispired ii: Workforce InspirationĀ Investigation for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (WiiSTEM) program. This program is funded by the National Science Foundation and is sponsored by Longwood’s Institute for teaching through Technology and Innovative Practices. The goal of the program is to enable students in rural Southside Virginia to explore careers in science, technology, engineer and mathematics (STEM). Students recognized included Essence Wiley, Kelsey Haddix, and Tyler Cox.
