Microsoft’s National Technology Officer Interacts with SVRTC Leaders at Longwood

Cameron Evans, National and Chief Technology Officer of MicrosoftCameron Evans_mg_2481 Education, was the guest speaker at the Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium’s (SVRTC) first meeting of the school year on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Longwood University. Mr. Evans gave a lively presentation titled “What’s the Future of Modern Learning: Re-Imaging Education Experiences for the Prepared Learner?” Mr. Evans suggested to the audience that this is a very exciting time to be part of the education system, while it is having to adjust to educational technologies and change the paradigm. Mr. Evans discussed with members the choices of devices, types of assessments, and meeting the needs of the non-traditional student. He concluded his discussion as he shared some features for Windows 8.
