Brunswick Celebrates Digital Citizenship Week
Digital Safety
In recognition of Digital Citizenship Week 2021, Mrs. Stacy Newell, ITRT, Brunswick County Public Schools, facilitated a great lesson with elementary students on the importance of online safety. Digital tools used included ClearTouch Panels, Google Classroom, Kami, and student Chromebooks. Mrs. Newell discussed many do’s and don’ts for online safety.
Being safe online is our mission as we continue to participate in a world of digital learning.

Special Guests
As a surprise students had a visit from special guests, Dr. Kristy Somerville-Midgette, Superintendent, and Mrs. Krystle Pearson, Director of Technology, during the lesson. The special guests participated in the lesson and accepted the classroom pledge with a signature alongside the students. #BrunswickStrong #digitalcitizenship
