Closing SVRTC Meeting for 2021-22 School Year

The April 20, 2022 SVRTC meeting had 14 members in attendance from the following SVRTC divisions: Amelia, Brunswick, Charlotte, Colonial Heights, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Franklin City, Greensville, Martinsville, Petersburg, and Prince Edward.

The committee members discussed the increase of cyber attacks school divisions are experiencing. Many spoke about their divisions transitioning to a two-factor authorization. Other members spoke about their disaster recovery plan development and focus on user awareness. SVRTC Chair, Dr. Elizabeth Jamerson, reviewed the SVRTC Strategic Plan and discussed the goals. Members were also encouraged to join the SVRTC sub-committees to support these goals.

Longwood ITTIP plans to host the first SVRTC meeting for the 2022- 2023 school year on campus, Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
